Go ahead, Morning People. Who authored that line?
TML was going to take a mental health day, but I’m somewhat addicted to This Space, as I hope you are. Many thanks to the Mobsters who let me know where I could scrounge a few bottles of Great Lakes Christmas nectar. One of youse even said that, as of 720 AM Thursday, there was 1 sixer of GLCA on the shelf at the Madeira Kroger. I’ll hop right on that.
Do you suppose the Great Lakes people deliberately make small batches of the stuff, to create the demand? Or is it a question of capacity? It’s a seasonal soda; the tanks, I’m assuming, are needed for production of their mainstream products. And yet, given they sell every ounce they make, wouldnt you think they’d wanna make more?
And Christmas Ale isnt even their best, IMO. I loved the Doppelrock they came out with last spring. When I was in Cleveland for The Men in September I sat at the bar at the brewery, gorging, and was told they werent sure if they were even brewing the D-rock this year.
