A gasket in the lid allowing one to easily see the color of the coffee as it percs to determine when your perference of coffee strength is reached. That was 100% my fault, not that of the product. . I quickly learned that the coffee pot is NOT for storage, but for. these aluminium items are weak. The aluminium stem that holds the coffee grind basket got slightly bent, but I successfully bent it back into place without damage. This bought this coffee pot for home use in utter disgust with drip coffee makers. I will never go back to and electric coffee maker. The color is beautiful. And, the coffee tastes so much better. It is a snap to clean up (just throw it in the dishwasher). Having had three different drip coffee makers stop working in one year, I decided to go with something tried and true. Instant coffee- IS any of it decent?
I am planning a camping trip, I am a die hard coffee drinker, I cannot function in the morning until I have some. I have looked at perculator and the coleman coffee maker. I would love to buy the Cloeman coffee maker but It is $40 and we dont camp a lot. Folgers Instant is good stuff.
The trick to making a good cup of instant (that most folks miss, ruining their coffee) is only using a teaspoon of coffee to a cup of water. Just fill the teaspoon SLIGHTLY above it's rim.
