All I Want For Christmas
Each year I anticipate the holidays with the joy and enthusiasm of a 5-year-old. I love to shop for my family, and I love to wrap the presents as well. I love lighting the Hanukkah candles, making latkes and spending time with my loved ones.
I also like Christmas. I absolutely adore the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, and I am very fond of all the holiday lights that decorate many of the homes in our fair city. I also believe in Santa, or at least the spirit of Christmas–the one that makes people more patient when waiting on line in stores and the excitement that builds in children as they wait for the 'Big Guy' to deliver the goods.
In that spirit, I have crafted a wish list for Santa, hoping he might bring me something good. Of course, this list doesn't have Prada bags or trips to the spa on it. Not that those things aren't good, but this is a cooking column after all, and everything on the list belongs in the kitchen (for the most part). This list will likely cover a few items that will make your cooking a task done with ease.
